Computex Taipei may be over and done with for another year, but the netbooks on display at the show just keep on surfacing, and the folks at Netbooknews.com have now provided a hands-on with one that didn’t exactly get a ton of attention earlier: the J&W Minix 811. While there’s expectedly not a ton of surprises when it comes to the specs, this one does seem to be thinner and lighter than the average netbook and, even better still, it has both a matte screen and fairly large and apparently responsive keyboard. Fujitsu has upgraded its LifeBook T5010, T1010, P1630 and T2020 convertible Tablet PCs with AT&T’s BroadbandConnect High-Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) network support. While an admirable effort, if you’re working, you’re working regardless of where you are and I don’t see this interface holding up well against an information-packed, 4 screen terminal. If that’s not enough, Allen completely failed to put in a “Private Browsing” button for those lonely, late-night trading sessions that last for hours.
