J&W Minix 811 netbook gets the hands-on treatment

Computex Taipei may be over and done with for another year, but the netbooks on display at the show just keep on surfacing, and the folks at Netbooknews.com have now provided a hands-on with one that didn’t exactly get a ton of attention earlier: the J&W Minix 811. While there’s expectedly not a ton of surprises when it comes to the specs, this one does seem to be thinner and lighter than the average netbook and, even better still, it has both a matte screen and fairly large and apparently responsive keyboard. Mouse Computer Japan today introduced a new laptop that has a Blu-ray drive. Known as the LuvBook TW600X, this 15.4 inch WXGA notebook is powered by a Core 2 Duo P8700, 4GB of DDR2 RAM, 320GB of HDD, a GM45 Express chipset and Home Premium SP1 OS. It is priced at just €800.

Fujitsu Upgrades Four LifeBook Tablet PCs With AT&T HSUPA Support

Fujitsu has upgraded its LifeBook T5010, T1010, P1630 and T2020 convertible Tablet PCs with AT&T’s BroadbandConnect High-Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) network support. The HSUPA mobile broadband support adds $150 to the overall cost of the selected Tablet PC configuration. Fujitsu also announced that the LifeBook T5010 Tablet PC and the LifeBook E8420 notebook will receive EVDO connectivity support in the second quarter of 2009.
